How to improve your reading skills

Reading is one of English skills that should be learning by students. Most of student are lazy to read, because they have an opinion that reading is boring to do. They don’t like reading long text because hard to understand. At this blog we would like to tell you how to improve your reading skill, there are four ways you should try to improve your reading.

1.  Read from the beginning to the end.

The first one is you can read effectively without translating one by one sentence, this can make you more focused. You can remember the common of words, the common word can help you to find the main idea of each paragraph while you read.

For example: “In the valley cups La Paz, Bolivia administrative capital, workers live near the rim at about 13.000 feet, where the air is thin. Big businesses and wealthier residents settle more comfortably down below.”

At the top of sentence, you should read from the first to the end of sentence and try to find the common word, to get your best understanding you can repeat again, it’s very easy right.

2. Make sure you understand the level of reading.

Secondly, try to read a book that has a basic language style, because basic language is very easy to understand. You can try to read novel from basic to intermediate, so you can’t get shocked when you read intermediate book and you can read many levels of book.

3. Try to love your reading hobbies.

Thirdly, reading is fun that’s way you should get used to reading book every day, if you usually read books everyday you can get more vocabulary, more understanding, and many knowledge because reading is the first gate to see through the world.

4. At last but not least you can read literature that have abundant vocabularies, because vocabulary mastery is a great asset to learn English and grammar rules. For example, you can read short story, news, novels, journal, article or magazine, find the pleasing one.

If you don't like reading from the book, today you can find a lot of literature in the internet. You can download it easier and read it where and when as you want. It can increase your interest to read. Because, today people likes to use technology for their activities include study.
